Campbell Valley Park

This picture was made from the northeast corner of Campbell Valley Park. This part isn't in the valley, it is actually the highest point in the park. We often walk a circle route that starts on the other side of the valley, goes twice over a river through woods and grassy fields. It is a pleasent 6km trail.

You can see the first marshmallow crop ripening in the distance, there are several marshmallow fields on our trips from home to this park. You may need to zoom in on the image at the bootom of the page to see them well. They sure are large before they're shrunk down for consumption!

Photography notes:

This picture shown is a crop from a vertical photograph. The effective focal length would be something like 85mm. The original image is at the bottom of this page.

The "Auto1" setting for white balance is specific to the newer Nikon cameras. It is an auto-white balance that ignores the presence of incandescent light that might be in the image.

You can zoom in on this image to see the detail in the full image, however this is highly compressed and the original has better contrast and sharpness.
