This is one of the first photographs we've made with the Nikon Z8 camera. While we probably won't make a large print of it, it makes a nice computer background image. Most of it is a nice soft out-of-focus forest and the leaf is made colourful by back-lighting. We like the way the curled-over part of the leaf is highlighted.
Photography notes:
There was no wind the day this photograph was made, enabling a longer shutter speed. We would often use a tripod for this situation, but the camera was brought along on what was meant to be simply a walk. The camera and lens work together to enable longer shutter speeds hand-held. Without this "vibration reduction" technology, we would require 1/250s for this photograph's level of sharpness.
We are quite impressed with the performance of this lens, although this particular shot isn't much of a challenge for a lens of its type.
