Irmgard's home town is in Oberbayern (Upper Bavaria), where the Alps meet southern Germany. When we were there several winters ago, we drove up the road to Spitzingsee and then took the aerial car to Taubenstein. From the top of the lift, this picture was made to the east looking towards the Wendelstein.
