The Watershed Park is on the eastern boundary of North Delta, southeast of Vancouver city. This trail is the northernmost one of the park. Most of the park is covered with a typical west-coast second growth forest. In the image, a shaft of light highlights a Vine Maple's new leaves.
Photography notes:
The picture is cropped to compensate for the lens tilting upwards to simulate an image from a shifted lens. Without this edit, the trees would appear as leaning into the center of the picture.
This is a "high dymanic range" image. It was created from 3 photographs taken at normal, over and under exposure. It preserves details in both the highlights (like the sunlit leaves) and the shadows (like the bark in the shadows).
