Metrotwon is the downtown area of Burnaby, the city immediately east of Vancouver. Here are two comparison photos of Metrotown made 14 years apart. You can see that many tall towers were added in that time. Both photos were made from approximately the same spot at Deer Lake. Unfortunately they were made at different times of year and different cloud conditions however they are carefully aligned to aid comparison between them.
Photography notes:
The newer (lower) picture is a composite of two photographs originally made to show the new buildings on the left side. The 35mm equivalent focal length of the final images (both upper and lower) is 54.1mm. In the composite image, the lower image has been reduced around 10% to match the upper image.
