This very small flower (about 14mm, a little smaller than a dime) is plentiful in our area. In this photo, it is part of the forest floor cover of a small woods near our home. The leaves in the background is part of the plant.

Photography notes:
Every once in a while we make a photogragh without any particular special technique. This is one, the only thing remotely out of the ordinary is that the camera was on a tripod and a cable elease was used so that the camera would be steady for the somewhat long exposure.
