Here's another photograph made from the walk to our front door. This it's at the spot that borders the road in front of our place.

The flower is backlit, giving a lot of contrast with respect to the Boxwood in the background. A little bit of light does make it to the front of the petals highlighting their texture.
When we put "Histogram"for "Metering Mode" in the technical information further down, we really mean we are not using the camera's light meter at all but rather the histogram of the light values read of the main sensor. It has become our habit to do this using completely manual exposure settings with mirrorless cameras.
The images for the computer and smart phone backgrounds have AI generated extensions to aviod clipping the flower. The top picture on this page shows the original extent of the image recorded by the camera.
