This view of the Chewanten Valley looks south from E. C. Manning Park in Canada to the U.S. There has been a problem with the Mountain Pine Beetle, they are responsible for the stands of dead trees in this forest. A polarising filter used for this photograph emphasizes the clouds and decreases the haze making the distance so clear.
