Lichen and Moss

Flowering plants are scarce in the late winter, so we turned our lenses to the rocks and the life they support. Mosses grow slowly, lichens even slower still. The picture below was taken about a year after the on above so you can see that there is little change in that period of time. (The colour balance is different because the second picture was taken on a cloudy day)
