Arctic Fall Landscape

This picture was taken from the Dempster Highway in Canada's Northwest Territories. The distant old mountains on the left are very old and much eroded from severe climate. The fall colours that are showing the the tundra are a little past their climax. The skies in this area are often this dramatic and localized rain is common.
