This picture is of the slope below the Lions Mountain, one of Vancouver's North Shore Mountains. It was made during a brief sunny break in the fall. Several days before this picture was taken, heavy snowfall deposited a thick layer of snow in these high altitudes. Then the freezing level rose and the snow turned to rain and the run-off created this interesting and not often seen snowscape.
