This photograph was taken just off BC Highway 7 on the north side of the Fraser River just east of the little village of Deroche. The fall weather was warm and wet, so the colour in the leaves are a little muted in comparison to other years. The problem with this view was that it was quite pretty to observe from our moving car, but when you stop you find there are a lot of shrubs and other obstacles in the way of a clear picture. We spent quite a bit of time trying to find a good spot, but it only adds to the feeling of accomplishment coming away with such a pleasent image.
