Mt. Afton, the Rampart, Glacier National Park

Photograph

Glacier National Park has many satisfying hikes that take you above the tree line. This photograph was made from the Abbott Ridge Trail looking southeast. The trail starts at 1200m and rises up to 2200m. The real problem is that this is usually the first park we stop at on a Rocky Mountain vacation, it sure would be nice to save the 1km elevation gains for later in the vacations, after a bit of conditioning!

This photograph was made onto Kodak Gold 100, the exposure information was not recorded. It was scanned at 10,000 samples per square millimetre.
