This picture was made on a trip between Red Deer and Drumheller Alberta. Overnight there was a rain storm with thunder and lightning, but it was clearing the morning this picture was made. The trip was a pleasent slow meandering one on country backroads, looking for good photographic opportunities.
Photography notes:
The original photograph was made with a Rolleiflex SL66 camera and a Carl Zeiss 80mm f/2.8 lens onto Kodak TMAX 100 film. Lens tilt (a unique feature of the SL66) was used to keep all of the foreground field and the distant buildings in sharp focus. The 6cm X 6cm negative was scanned with a large format Polaroid Sprintscan film scanner at 10000 points per square millimetre. We have cropped off the top part of the original.
