For over 20 years, we have had (and still have) a patch of these plants at the end of our driveway. They flower early in spring and are one of the first flowers we have around our home. These flowers are only open in the sun (or bright cloudy days) and close for the night. The top picture was made in the afternoon while the picture below was made early in the following morning.
