North Saskatchewan River

This picture was made from the Belgravia neighbourhood of Edmonton. There is a park and dog off-leash area there which continues for several kilometres towards the city's downtown. There was a gentle swishing sound of the river ice rubbing as it mades its way down the river. You can see in the picture how the floating ice is shaped into round discs.

This picture was made with a relatively small camera and lens yet it provides comparable resolution to our much larger (and much more expensive) Hasselblad system. Have a close look with the zoom-in feature at the bottom of this page.
