This is a native plant for our area but gardeners have planted it around the world. These plants were in "the wild" in a shady and slightly damp spot at the edge of a forest near the Fraser River. We see them all over our area but this spot had a higher concentration than what is common.

This picture makes a nice print where the detail of the flowers and stalk make a stronger impression (because of the higher resolution) compared to a screen image.
