We visit this place often, it is one of our dog-walk favourites. On this day there was a light fog giving a strong sense of depth to the woods. The Watershed Park is in the south-east corner of North Delta, a suburb of Vancouver. It is close to Boundary Bay, so it often experiences marine fog.

We like the look of this picture as a large print. You can see the image in more detail with the "zoom-viewer" at the bottom of this page. The lens used has a special feature - you can control the spherical correction to influence the look of the out-of-focus areas. It was set to give a soft roll-off of focus in the distance to nicely match the effect of the fog.
