Mushrooms in a Tiny Landscape

Wet weather in the days before this photo was made brought a bountiful number of mushrooms to our area. We set out to photograph them since they don't last very long. This image shows some of the smallest ones we found that day. They're barely taller than the moss around them.

Photography notes:

A tree's shadow was about to move into this scene, so we had to work quickly. Modern cameras certainly help in these situations. The image noise with high ISO settings is much better and we were able to use a swivelling screen to frame the picture without the contortions needed to get an eye on the viewfinder.
