Racing River and Fall Colours

This is September in the northeast of British Columbia. Most trees that do so have already turned to their fall colours. This picture is of the Racing River from just off the Alaska Highway. This was taken from the south bank, the camera was pointing north. The deep shadow on the left and in the foreground is from a mountain behind and west of the camera.
