Ice Cap Peak is situated on the west side of the Squamish Valley, close to the junction with the Elaho Valley. All of which is west of Whistle. As all of our current pictures have been made with digital cameras, it is nice to see an older film-based picture. However, had it been digital, it would have had fewer dust spots, a better colour balance and much less noise (film grain). Perhaps we'll return and re-capture the peak to see the difference.
The photograph was made onto Kodachrome 200 film with a Nikon F5 camera and a 80-400mm lens at 400mm. The slide was scanned at slightly over 10,000 pixels/mm and cropped to a 7.5Mb (3600 x 2400) file.
