Rufous Hummingbird

While we were happily photographing the flora in the University of British Columbia's botanical garden, this humming bird came out for its lunch. This photograph was taken quickly with the 105mm we use for flowers, hardly the lens we would choose for the bird, however the resolution of the camera is such that a small crop yields a picture suitable for the web.
