While enjoying a walk around Deas Island Regional Park, which is just south of the Fraser river in the Vancouver area, we happened across this owl. We were not prepared for bird photography, the longest lens we had was only 120mm. However by approaching carefully trying hard not to stress the bird into flight, we managed this picture. It is a crop from the original.
