Mount Coleman from Parker Ridge

Photograph

Mount Coleman is at the northern end of Banff National Park, as is Parker Ridge. The Icefields Highway, which runs from Lake Louise to Jasper runs along at the foot of both places. Mount Coleman is very steep near the highway, forming the Weeping Wall. Unfortunately the Weeping Wall is hidden in this picture behind a ridge (on the right) extending from Mount Saskatchewan. New snow had fallen in the area when this picture was made, highlighting Mount Coleman's rock strata.
