Ostrich Fern

When learning to use a camera well, it is important to understand that what is recorded is not what you actually see. Here the camera's depth of field is much shallower than our eyes' when looking at a fern in a garden. The very out-of-focus background becomes a repetition of the foreground, strengthening the composition of this image.
