Black Tusk, Garibaldi Provincial Park

Photograph

After a strenuous hike, gaining some 1200m of altitude from the parking lot at Rubble Creek, one is rewarded with this view of Black Tusk the remnant of an old volcano. This picture was taken from the trail to Panorama Ridge. The alpine meadows were in full bloom, and the mosquitoes were a real nuisance, typical for the short summers in the Coast Mountains.

This photograph was made using a Nikon F5, a 24-120mm lens and Kodak Royal Gold ISO 100 film. The exposure data was not recorded. The negative was scanned at 4000 dpi with a Nikon Coolscan 2000 and the resulting image file was resized using Adobe Photoshop.
