This photograph was made from Mount Seymour westward, the closest slope is a part of the mountain. From nearest to farthest and left to right the peaks are Lynn Peak, Grouse Mountain, Goat Mountain, Hollyburn Mountain and Mount Strachan. On the left a slope to Mount Fromme is visible although its peak is out of the frame. Many Vancouverites are familiar with these mountains, but they probably will find this a new angle.
This photograph was made with a 600mm lens on a heavy tripod that we normally use for a large format studio camera. This picture was made only a few feet from the edge of the road near a ski hill parking lot. The photograph was made on Kodachrome 25 colour slide film. All contrast and colour adjustments were made during the scanning of the image - this really is the way it looked!
