Frosty Grass Stalk

Photograph

This picture was made in the Nicola Valley not far from the town of Merritt, British Columbia, Canada. It was made early in the morning before the sun rose over the mountains to the east on Thanksgiving day.

A 105mm macro lens was used and although the aperture and shutter speed has been lost, a tripod was needed. Since the background is thrown out of focus, it is obvious that a relatively large aperture was used. The camera has a depth of field preview and this is the kind of picture where it would be used.

35mm ISO 100 print film was used.
