We were planning to put another mountain landscape picture in this slot, but we had a request for another Gosling photo. This one was taken at the Reifel Bird Sanctuary just as it started to rain. As the drops fell harder the goslings started to huddle around their mother who finally obliged and settled down, offering shelter for some of them. The gosling in the back seems to ask "what about me?".
The picture was taken with a 300 mm f4 wide open at 1/250. Because of the reflections of the water in the background fooling the light meter, a reading was taken of the foreground and the exposure adjusted accordingly.
