The end of August/beginning of September in Vancouver is typically when we have a break from sunny hot weather for two weeks or so. Usually this is followed by another month or so of nice dry weather before the rains come in earnest. Here is a picture from the beginning of September when the clouds came without rain, at least not while we had a walk along Pitt Canal. We like how the line of geese adds an important detail to this landscape.
Photography notes:
We have changed a couple of things in this image in post-processing. First the clouds were darkened to fit into the scene with good contrast, otherwise the sky would have just been white. Next we brightened the left side of the picture to give a pleasing overall balance.
