Here's a good computer background image. Most of the images we post to our site are originally intended for prints, large prints. Although they work well as backgrounds, there may be image detail or texture that hides the cursor or other feature of the computer's operation. This image has a lot of open sky with the main subject at the bottom. As a computer background, it allows all the operational widgets clearly visible.
This image was made from the Yellowhead Highway just outside of Hinton Alberta. This is the first sense of the huge mountain range when travelling west from Edmonton and moving from the prairie, then the foothills before reaching the mountains.

The bottom of the image, the foothils and forest, has been lighten in post-processing to simulate the use of a graduated neutral density filter.
