In Bavaria in the foothills of the Alps, Deutsche Telekom operates several satellite communication antennae. We managed to capture several images of them as the sun was setting on a pleasant autumn evening. We like this particular photograph because the sky resembles a planet as if taken from orbit.
A 16mm Fisheye-Nikkor was used, shutter speed and aperture were not recorded, although the picture was hand-held. Kodachrome 200 slide film helped keep the exposure time short.
We don't use our wide-angle lenses very much, but they usually accompany us on our longer trips. This particular lens is sharp, fast (f2.8), and has good control of secondary reflections even with an 180º angle of view from corner to corner.
